Thanks to reading a book about Bill Belichick I now know we have someting in common.

We Both TIPPED or BRIBED our Employees to avoid getting fired.

When Bill was picked to coach the losing Cleveland Browns.

He was HATED by the players. He made them do Wind Sprints the length of the field. Fined them fro breaking Training rules.

They had to be on Time.

No Sleeping in Meetings.

One of the players Complained about his Hotel Room at an away game. Bill GAVE him HIS Room. Then fired him the next season when he demanded more moolah.

Sports Casters Complained about him too. Bill Discovered his players were Giving away Too much info during interviews.

So Reporters were no longer allowed in The locker Room. And Players were Told, "Do Not Talk to Reporters. Or you will be Fined."

Bill Didn't have Total Control (Who was hired) over the Browns. And the Salary cap meant he couldn't hire Talented Staffers.

So Bill DRAFTED people.

And paid them Bonuses out of his own pocket.

KINDA. In addition to his 400Grand Salary.

Bill started doing 3 or 4 Early Morning TV Shows. And podcasts.

The money he made doing these Interviews Went to His underpaid "Volunteers."

Quote - Grounds Crew Member. "Bill would see me in the hall. Drag me into a room. Hand me an Envelope with 1000 bucks in it. Bill had me watcing Footage of Apposing teams. And Reporting what I Saw. Bill sneaked me MORE than I made at my job."

This Sounds Familiar to me.

As The New Assistant Director of Housing for a University. I had no Director. I was doing both jobs.

And the Maintenance And Housekeeping Supervisor had been fired. So I was doing 4 jobs.

A - Weekly meeting with all the Janitors. Cuz The Ladies kept getting into Fights.

B - We Adopted Steel Titan, Andrew Carnegie's Motivation method. Created Teams - Rewarded a winning team with an hour of Vacation. (I punched them out myself. They left for home early.)

C - The Maintenance Helper who got the most Work Orders Done that week got a Free - 4-way-Screw driver or Vice Grip Pliars or Hammer.

D - To keep myself from Getting Fired - when I discovered Maintenance Jobs Not Getting Done.

1 - I starting hiding $1 Bills and Lotto Tickets around Apartments (Taped to a Moldy shower Curtain. Broken Furniture leg. Etc.

All hidden - Before the Maintenance Guys got there to do Summer Repairs.

2 - During the School Semester - I got a copy of the Student Phone book/Handbook. And phoned up to make Sure Work was done. (IF Not I sent the Same Guy back - to fix what he skipped.)

3 - Wrote a computer inventory for the new Warehouse.

4 - Emergency Projects - I Bought the Assistant Director Lunch. Driving to a Restaurant for lunch - we stopped off at the Janitors Break Room. So he could SEE the Team the ANDREW CARNEGIE Chalkboards.

And Shake hands with the Winning TEAM.

4 - Calling all of the Janitors together. I Showed them the Increased Pay that people who knew how to Use The Floor and Carpet and Wet-Dry Vacuum Machines Got.

Then Cross Trained Hundreds of staffers on all of the Equipment.

5 - At Random Times we bought VOLUNTEERS who came in on a weekend. A Free McDonalds Lunch.

Like Bill - Who HID the fact he was paying his "Volunteers" out of his own pocket.

We didn't Ask permission.
With 4 jobs.
We just DID IT.

INTERESTINGLY.

All the Systems We Used to Get an IMPOSSIBLE Amount of Work done. (That none of my bosses Asked About at the time.)

TODAY - Allows me to Double and Triple Clients incomes - using Proven Systems.
WHILE
THE CLIENT
WORKS Less
And
SPENDS LESS.

When I left the Job.

A New HIGH PAID Manager was hired.
All new Vehicles and Equipment were bought.
An Entire new crew of NightShift people were Hired.

My PEOPLE STOPPED VOLUNTEERING.
